Corey Hart is a Canadian rock-pop singer and musician who is best known for such hit singles "Sunglasses at Night" and "Never Surrender". He has sold over 15 million records worldwide and scored nine consecutive US Billboard Top 40 hits. In Canada, Hart has amassed 29 Top 40 hits, including 11 in the Top 10. He was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 1984 and he is also a multiple Juno award nominee and winner.
His debut album, First Offense, was released in 1983 and went 3 times platinum. It featured the singles "Sunglasses at Night" and "It Ain't Enough". In 1985, his best-selling album, Boy in the Box, was released with the singles "Never Surrender", "Boy in the Box" and "Everything in My Heart".
In 1986, Hart released, Fields of Fire, which went double platinum and featured a cover of Elvis Presley's "Can't Help Falling in Love". In 1988, the album Young Man Running was released followed by Bang! in 1990. One year later, Singles, a compilation album was released.
In 1992, Hart seventh album, Attitude & Virtue, was released followed by the album Corey Hart which featured the single "Black Cloud Rain". His last studio album, Jade, was released in 1998.
In 2002, "Sunglasses At Night" was re-recorded as a remix by Tiga and Zyntherius and was nominated for a Juno Award for Best Dance Recording of the Year.
Hart continues to write songs for other artists and collaborated with 1 Love on a remix of "Truth Will Set U Free".
