Poster of a Girl features Emily Haines in a trenchcoat at a club where the band, including Haines, is performing on stage. Interspersed are scenes of Haines walking outside the club, of her singing on a few Metric posters scattered about a dark alleyway, and a scene of her in a tiny room with a peephole, posing provocatively while wearing a blindfold. As the video ends, trenchcoat Emily reaches the front row and sees her counterpart, collapses and the Emily on stage reaches for her.
