Rounder Records is a record label founded in 1970 by Ken Irwin, Bill Nowlin and Marian Leighton-Levy. In the early 2000s, shortly after the merger of the PolyGram and MCA label families, Rounder signed a manufacturing and distribution deal with Universal Music.
Rounder was one of the very first labels to become involved with compact discs, in 1985. In 2010, Rounder was purchased by the Concord Music Group.
