Stronger features Spears walking into a club and breaking up with her cheating boyfriend. Later, in the video, Spears drives a classic Ford Mustang in a thunderstorm and her car spins out and stops on the edge of the bridge. After recovering from the shock of it, she walks on in the rain, crossing the bridge. Interspersed are clips of Spears dancing with a chair, as well as cane, in front of a black background. The music video received a nomination on the 2001 MTV Video Music Awards for Best Pop Video. The video pays homage to Janet Jackson's "The Pleasure Principle" and "Miss You Much" videos. |
